I'm Nina Montgomery!
A creative copywriter who teaches online marketing and creative strategy.
I Am A Mum
with 4 children, aged 5 to 18 years old.
I AM Passionate
I AM Artistic and Creative
taking these skills into fields of creative copywriting and creative content strategy...which feels kind of scary.
Although it took a while to fall in love with creative copywriting, it's now become my signature "thing".
I don't do it the way everyone else in my field does, and although this caused a lot of self doubt and insecurity as I found my writing wings, I've since learned to value myself and my differences and not only accept my unusual writing style, I now embrace it wholeheartedly and spend my career leading by example and showing others it's ok to be exactly who you are.
Now for the exciting stuff!!
Who do I want to be known as in a professional capacity --as I grow into the woman I want to be tomorrow and the future beyond?
I've been thinking about this for nearly a week now.
And in complete transparency, if you read my site up to 24 hours ago, it would have said I wanted to work with business owners....which is true.
I do love business owners, and I do believe business owners can make a great deal of change in the world-- it is the reason I created The Prosperity Project, and is where I currently spend most of my professional time and money.
even though business owners have capacity to make a change in the world, I also have strong interests in working with individual students and groups too.
When I say students, I don't mean age-specific.
My students aren't defined as kids or teens or adults or seniors, more so they are defined in the dreams they have for themselves, the world and the community.
The goal I am aspiring to reach in my professional capacity is as follows:
If there is a student interested in online marketing, copywriting, digital marketing or strategy, and are finding they just don't fit in anywhere else, these are the students I am here to serve.
Conversations from students that may go something like this:
"I want to get involved in social justice but I have no idea how to begin"
"I hate online marketing but know it's a necessary evil, I wish there was someone who could teach me a different way"
"I'm so sick of playing it safe and doing what everyone wants me to do. I don't agree with half the crap I write and I don't want to another clickbait article or piece of online content which has no soul. I have talent. I know I have talent. I want to use it for good, I just have no idea how..."
"I'm starting to get fed up with what I am seeing..... I want to "rock the boat" but wouldn't even know where to find a boat, let alone steer it, or teach myself to swim if I fell out of it!!"
Knowing I needed to re-do this website, has really had me thinking about my responsibilities as an educator.
And the questions I kept thinking were:
What if this was my child?
What if this was my friend?
My mother, father, sister or brother etc?
What if I knew of someone like this? If I knew they had talent....or I knew they wanted to make a difference in the world....what subject advice would I offer? Which teacher would I suggest they go learn under?
If this happens to you, and you find yourself with someone looking to make waves in the online world of creating change in themselves, the community or the greater world around them, then I hope you will consider putting my name forward.
If someone asks the question:
"My child, friend or family member etc, is lost at the moment.
They know they need to study but really aren't sure what to do...
they're a bit artsy...
they don't really fit the mainstream box of society....
they want to fight climate change, or get involved in bringing social justice to the light of mainstream media, whilst ethically using online content marketing or media at the same time...
Consider this as an answer:
"Have you checked out the work of Nina Montgomery?
She's a mum of 4 who specialises in online marketing.
She has interests are middle class poverty, emotional and mental health, small business failure and using creativity to create thought provoking change with the people she engages with.
Her work is a bit edgy, and on the face of it she looks like a train wreck crossed paths with an angsty teenager, however once you understand the way she teaches, you will see what she does is allow people to learn in an alternate way by presenting education as storytelling narratives and then pairing it with hands-on practical strategies for the real world. If you want to learn more about her go to ninamontgomery.com.au/faq or check out her work at The Prosperity Project."
So there you have it.
A page about me. Who I am. What I Love. Who I want to serve.
Probably not the greatest about me page, as it goes against all the copywriting rules about writing for your customer... but hey.....nobody ever said I was here to follow the rules 😉
If you would like to learn more about the work I do as a facilitator or an educator, please feel free to make a 1-1 appointment with me by booking a free 30 minute consultation below-- otherwise you can check out my creative writing portfolios by clicking here.
Thanks for taking the time to check me out, I look forward to connecting with you soon!
